One Year On

EOFY is always an exciting and busy time in financial planning.

It's a time when many people take stock of where they've been, where they're heading, and the financial decisions that can help them achieve their goals. For advisers, it's often one of the busiest periods of the year.

For me, though, this EOFY carries a little extra significance.

Twelve months ago, I made one of the biggest and most challenging decisions of my career. I left the security of an established role to start Elevate Financial Planning.

To be honest, it was exciting, but it was also incredibly daunting.

Starting a business means stepping into the unknown. There are no guarantees, and there are plenty of moments where you question whether you've made the right decision.

Like many small business owners, I experienced my fair share of sleepless nights, uncertainty and self-doubt along the way.

What made the difference was the support and trust of the people around me.

To every client who put their trust in a new business, thank you. To my family, friends and professional network who encouraged me throughout the journey, thank you.

The trust people place in a financial adviser is something I never take for granted. Being invited into someone's life to help them make important financial decisions is a privilege, and I'm genuinely grateful for every opportunity to do so.

Over the past year, I've had the chance to help clients navigate retirement decisions, build wealth, protect their families, and gain greater confidence about their financial future. Watching people make progress towards their goals continues to be the most rewarding part of what I do.

As we begin a new financial year, I'm incredibly proud of what Elevate Financial Planning has achieved in its first year and even more excited about what lies ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far. Your support has meant more than you know.

Here's to the next chapter.
